Lets Be Fair

We have started a new campaign to make gambling fairer. The campaign motto is "Lets Be Fair"

Our first focus is on UK betting shop machines. In the London Borough of Haringey the Local Council Scrutiny Committee held an enquiry into betting shop clustering in Haringey. Our view is that it is the machines and the content allowed on these machines that causes the growth and clustering of betting shops in Haringey. We gave evidence at that enquiry.

Recently the Department of Culture Media and Sport DCMS admitted that the 2005 Gambling Act was not delivering as intended. We have submitted a DCMS consultation response. We hope to be invited to speak at oral hearings.
